Purpose and Mission Alignment
Access Granted Foundation Inc. (“AGFI”) is a nonprofit organization organized and operated exclusively for charitable and educational purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. AGFI’s mission is to expand equitable access to youth sports participation, training, and development opportunities by providing general fund and grant support that offsets eligible youth organizational expenses.
Contribution Program Overview
Eligible Contributors
AGFI may accept charitable contributions from individuals, families, businesses, corporate sponsors, community partners, and other third-party entities. All contributions are voluntary and unrestricted unless otherwise designated and are accepted without any guarantee of benefit to a specific individual, family, or team.
Permitted Contribution Designations
Contributors may elect to allocate funds to either the General Operating Fund or the General Grant & Scholarship Fund. Contributions may be made electronically, including ACH, debit or credit card, or approved third-party platforms, as well as by check. AGFI does not accept cash contributions.
Team & Individual Fundraising Authority
Teams and individuals participating in youth sports programs are permitted to independently solicit contributions on behalf of AGFI, provided that all funds are contributed directly to AGFI, no funds are earmarked or guaranteed for a specific recipient, although independent contributors have the ability to recommend support for individuals. Fundraising does not imply entitlement to grant awards, and participation in fundraising does not increase or guarantee grant eligibility. AGFI retains full control and discretion over the use and distribution of all contributed funds.
Grant Support Program
Eligible Applicants
Grant applications may be submitted by individual youth participants, families of youth participants, or teams or team representatives. Grant support is available to any youth participant in organized youth sports regardless of organizational affiliation, provided eligibility criteria are met.
Eligible Expenses
Grant funds may be applied toward qualifying youth organizational expenses including, but not limited to, organizational registration and participation fees, training and instructional programs, facility usage and rentals, team equipment and uniforms, tournament or league participation costs, coaches and administrative support dues, and other youth sports–related expenses deemed consistent with AGFI’s charitable mission. All approved grant funds are paid directly to the applicable organization via invoice and are not distributed as cash to individuals or families.
Application & Review Process
All applicants must complete a formal grant application. Applications are evaluated using pre-established, objective, and mission-aligned criteria. Grant awards are determined solely by AGFI’s independent Board of Directors or a designated committee based on eligibility, merit, alignment with mission, and funds available. Meeting eligibility criteria does not guarantee grant approval.
Independence & Non-Guarantee Clause
Contributions and grants are separate and independent processes. Donors, fundraisers, teams, and applicants have no authority or influence over grant decisions. No contribution creates a right, expectation, or promise of financial assistance.
Compliance & IRS Safeguards
AGFI operates its contribution and grant programs in strict compliance with Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, IRS prohibitions on private inurement and impermissible private benefit, and all applicable federal and state charitable solicitation laws. All grants are awarded exclusively to further AGFI’s charitable purpose and promote broad public benefit.
Public Availability
This program is open to the public and participation is not limited to any single organization, team, or affiliation.
